These wont suck in your pants and cause your bike to shut off like most other ones out there do, and maintain your carb clean of major damaging particles. If you want to go racing just unscrew ring and remove filter for maximum airflow for racing applications. Once done just put back filter and screw on retaining ring and you are back to normal.
